Caregivers support group

WHAT: A meeting for those who care for those with Alzheimer’s disease

WHEN: 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18

WHERE: EBR Jones Creek Regional Branch Library, 6222 Jones Creek Road

DETAILS: Family members and friends can share experiences and information for coping with Alzheimers and dementia. Dianne Miller will lead the discussion. Alzheimers Services of the Capital Area sponsors this meeting, which is free and open to the public.

Yoga session

WHAT: Free one-hour yoga class

WHEN: 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20

WHERE: EBR Bluebonnet Regional Branch Library, 9200 Bluebonnet Blvd.

DETAILS: Take a break from the holiday hustle and join experienced yoga instructor Vanessa Parks. Bring a yoga mat or towel and water. The class is intended for beginners, but all skill levels are welcome.

Epilepsy group

WHAT: Epilepsy support group meeting

WHEN: 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20

WHERE: EBR Bluebonnet Regional Branch Library, 9200 Bluebonnet Blvd., Baton Rouge

DETAILS: The group is open to adults with epilepsy and seizure disorders, their family members, friends, caregivers and anyone who would like to share their experiences and support those who are managing seizures. Parents of children with epilepsy are also encouraged to attend. Adult topics can come up at meetings that may be inappropriate for young children. Parental discretion is advised.
